World Aeronautical Charts (WAC's)
Scale - 1:1,000,000 - 18 charts in series
World Aeronautical Charts are used for flight planning and in-flight navigation by VFR pilots on extended cross-country flight at medium to high altitudes and medium to high airspeed.
Visual Navigation Charts (VNC's)
Scale - 1:500,000 - 52 charts in series
The VNC is used by VFR pilots on short to extended cross-country flight at medium altitudes and at low to medium airspeeds. These charts show aerodrome data, airspace information, radio aids to navigation, air/ground communications, and elevation with contour lines, tints and shaded relief.
Visual Terminal Area (VTA's)
Scale - 1:250,000 - 5 charts in series
Terminal area charts provide detailed information on congested areas. The five charts cover Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg, with Calgary and Edmonton combined on one chart.
Enroute Charts
Scale - 1:1,000,000 - 14 charts in series
Enroute Low and High Altitude charts provide aeronautical information for instrument navigation in the low and high airway structure of the Canadian Domestic Airspace. The airspace over foreign territory and international waters in which Canada accepts responsibility for the provision of air traffic services, and other areas required for military use. The primary purpose of Enroute charts is to depict radio navigation data to provide rapid and precise location and identification of information requisite to radio instrument navigation.
